Sorry for the broadness of this post but i really do not know what to do i really need a good picked intro riff and its super discouraging and pissing me off because i want to record. If anyone has suggestions for how to write super catchy indie acoustic picked intros please tell. Good night everyone.

Modes are going way to far ahead right now. Get solid with more beginner theory like scale and chord construction. And learn songs from the bands you want to sound like.

I have a quick question about a song or what the hell is this guy doing?

Its a singer songwriter i really like, Is he picking the chord's note's or what because there is a bunch of those chord tabs on this site but it sounds like he is picking not strumming, is that a special technique?

If you look at the tab for the intro on this page and then look at the chord tab, you'll see that the chords listed on the chord tab are actually the chords you'd have to hold to play the arpeggios in the regular tab.

Basically the chord tab is showing you the right chords to hold, but not telling you the order to pick the notes making the arpeggios.
