I was playing my Telecaster earlier and I noticed like a thin clear sheet of something I don't know what is came off the fret... What is it and why is it there/coming off?

Will it affect the fret at all? I don't see a difference.

EDIT: The Tele is a 96' so maybe some kinda wear?

Probably the fretboard lacquer starting to wear off.

If it has a maple fretboard then it's the lacquer peeling off the frets like Roc suggested. Fender sprays the finish on their fretboards after the frets are installed and usually doesn't take the time to cut it off. No worries, it's normal
