So, I'v recently began singing for one band and playing guitar for a different, brand new one. This in mind, we have no vocal equipment (We've been borrowing things from other people).

Anyhow, I've ben looking around for a small PA. My budget is low and I planned on taking advantage of some Black Friday deals.

Do you guys have any suggestions?

Here's the one I was looking at. Just real basic: http://www.guitarcenter.com/Harbinger-HA120-Portable-PA-System-105776611-i1509687.gc

I was going to suggest that. My friends use it and it's pretty sweet.

Didn't you say that you had a stuffed fox that you would occasionally fuck?

You might find this useful and there are links to my other articles http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/columns/junkyard/sound_good_in_the_rehearsal_room.html?no_takeover

This looks like a fairly typical starter PA, they are OK sounding usually and great value but you get what you pay for. They'll serve you as monitors for years. They'll be bass light and not too loud compared with much more expensive units.

Don't forget to look for a decent mic'.
