Hi,

I signed up for a one month subscription that auto renews. I'd like to switch that to annual to save money, but can't figure out how to stop the monthly auto renewal. I read where I'm supposed to go to account settings, but when I do there's nothing that I see to do that. I got my original subscription on an iPad, if that matters. I can't find anything on this website either that tells me how to cancel or upgrade.

Please help,

You should have saved the email like I did ... There is a link... I wouldn't have been able to find it either ... Yikes!

UG Support,

your solution doesn't work. When I go to the Store section there is no option for Account. I find it extremely discouraging this is do difficult to do. The Auto Renew is a horrible feature and shitty way to inconvenience your customers. please provide a more accurate description on how to turn off the Auto Renew.

I had the same problem as shoren. But the solution from UG Support works on my IPad!

You should go to Settings of your device, then to “Store” > “Account” > “Manage subscriptions” (as it is stated in "Subscription information" on iTunes page of Ultimate Guitar Tabs HD), here you'll be taken to the section where you'll be able to turn off the automatic renewal of your subscription. In this section you can find subscription settings for all subscription-based apps.


It doesn't work at all. Can u pls give me another way to stop iPad UG subscription. Thanks

Can anyone help me out, how to end this auto renew subscription ipad version UG HD?
I am stop using it at all.

Now you will see active subscriptions and you can turn auto renew off or change payment method

(3) Select UG Plus (on left hand side)

Now you will see active subscriptions and you can turn auto renew off or change payment method

Boydjames- Thanks for posting this. This made it possible to unsubscribe from the auto-renew. Auto-renew is such a scam. If companies had more faith in the value of their product they would have to resort to mandatory auto-renew in order to keep customers coming back.

James -thanks for that it worked for me..I was under the impression when I signed up
Originally that it was for 1 month membership only....it was only when I checked my credit card bill that I find that I was being billed
On a monthly basis ...disappointing

I couldn't find it either, until I selected my Apple ID and logged into my account. i.e. Settings > iTunes & App Store > Click on Apple ID link on top right side and log into your account. There you will find manage subscriptions and notifications.

How the **** do I cancel my account - this is impossible. I don't want a subscription anymore. Give me a link. Now.

UG's billing policy is a total scam. 3 weeks since I requested assistance to cancel my account, because the site provides no visible solution, and still no progress. Essentially I'm playing open/close/open...then lose and start over...their customer support ticket game. Terrible company, horrible website!!! Twitter here I come...

I want to completely close this account as I am being charged monthly and do not know how to cancel the payment. If I click on UG and then subscriptions it doesnt say I am subcribed but I am to the main site or I wouldnt be getting charged.

I've been having the same problem. There doesn't seem to be any way to actually cancel. I go to my subscriptions and I have none, then I look at my saved credit card information and there isn't one. I just can't figure out why I keep getting billed if I'm not subscribed. And if I am subscribed somewhere, where is it and how do I cancel it?

There are 2 types of subscriptions: on Tab Pro web service and in Apple iTunes. Because we have own billing system, and Apple don't give us access to their billing system.

To cancel your Tab Pro subscription which you purchased on our website, please follow these steps:
1. Sing in here: http://plus.ultimate-guitar.com/account/
2. Go to the "Subscriptions" section.
3. Click on the "Cancel" button.

To cancel your Tab Pro subscription which you purchased via iTunes, please follow these steps:
1. Open your device's Settings and tap on "iTunes & App Store".
2. Tap on your Apple ID, then tap on "View Apple ID".
3. In "Subscriptions" section tap on "Manage".
4. Choose an app subscription you want to cancel.
5. Tap on the toggle to switch it Off.

Same, i cant find the "subscriptions" section, only thing i see about my subscription, is where it says my account is a premium local subscription, but i dont have anything that says i can cancel it

this is impossible, the only options i get to see on manage subcriptions is upgrade, stay the same or downgrade, no outright cancellations

You have to click on "manage account" and you will find the subscriptions options in there.

There is still no cancel account option on the website in Nov 2015. i think this is deceptive behaviour. Luckily pay pal does have this option. Also i am pretty sure i selected once of payment not recurring, so why was it recurring?

Guide removing subscription.

1. Login your paypal go to My Account tab.
2. Click Profile
3. Click My Money tab.
4. Update your My preapproved payments
5. Click/Find Ultimate Guitar USA LLC
6. Cancel it.
7. Done.

8. Say fuck you ug. Thanks.

Cant cancel my account! its on auto charge. I have tried cancelling my account for at least a year! its on auto pay $10.99 every 3 months. there is no place to cancel on my account on their website and no way to contact them by email or by phone. Their are numerous complaints on their website forum. Plenty of people are very upset!

Your Desired Resolution:
I would like a full refund for the last year of payments $10.99 x 4
