Hey guys. I'm finally gonna start on my charvel superstratish quilt maple top build. I've had the neck started for like a year. And the ash body blank just laying around.. VERY DEPRESSING

anywayz...

I'm using a 1 5/8" nut.. (I think) and a ToM bridge. The fretboard is 24 frets. 25" scale length. Bolt on neck AANJ joint.

How do I determine the neck taper? Should the neck be 1 5/8" wide exactly at the nut?
How do I know how wide the neck should be at the bottom?

My first builds neck taper was kinda a disgrace to start out with.. would like to avoid that problem this time around.

Thanks in advance!
