Piano dick had some good parts, but should have said "As the business man slowly gets boned", would have accented the whole dick feeling of the album

Parents went to see Peter Kay the other month, Rick Astley was supporting him, I wasn't aware so when my parents rang me whilst this was playing I was very shocked. I got rickrolled by my father. Yes, he does know what a rickroll is.

I don't know why, but I can't stand threads like this that are full of links with no titles. I don't want to ****ing click a link that's not labelled. I know it goes to youtube, but you could be linking me to the worst song in the world. I might know not to click it if I knew the title.

Also, there's never any discussion in these threads because nobody else seems to follow the nameless links. It's just a big pointless link-fest with nobody paying attention to anybody but themselves.

Hm, I'd probably say "Loomer" or "To Here Knows When" by My Bloody Valentine. Bilinda Butcher's voice is one of the most beautiful things I've ever heard. :')

Also, I think "This Must Be The Place" by Talking Heads is the most beautiful love song ever written, so I'll throw that out.

Little Wing by Jimi Hendrix

When a Blind Man Cries-Deep Purple

Mexico by Incubus

Black by Pearl Jam

If I ever Lose my Faith in You-Sting

The Crystal Ship-The Doors

Nuthell-Alice In Chains.

And this song has the most beautiful melody.. though I can't find the studio version.

SHE walks in beauty, like the night
Of cloudless climes and starry skies;
And all that's best of dark and bright
Meet in her aspect and her eyes:
Thus mellow'd to that tender light
Which heaven to gaudy day denies.

Not a great deal of diversity here. Credit to the guy who mentioned Tchaikovsky.
I already nodded to Little Wing earlier but after thinking for a while I remembered that Nessun Dorma makes me cry. It's really friggin embarrassing, but I suppose it fits right in here.

"The Disintegration Loop" - William Basinski:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zhfKK547r94 (Just a clip of the song)

Basically the guy was transferring old tape reels of ambient loops he had recording onto his pc, and while he was recording the tapes they started to disintegrate. So this song is essentially an ambient loop completely fading away in an hour. At the start you will hear the full loop as it was recorded, then slowly but surely elements of it will fade away until nothing is left. It was very solacing to me the first time I listened to it.

**** yeah .. awesome songs.

I'd probably pick a track by Michael Hedges .. maybe http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xLD0pxflAM8

unsung hero .. acoustic hendrix .. deserves more ppl listening to his shit

this dude did all his stuff in the 80/90's .. and people are only learning about him now because of youtube guitarists Andy Mckee and Don Ross and people like that .. Hedges innovated the **** out of the acoustic guitar and was people like Mckee's idol .. but nobody's ever even heard of him .. shame x
