you can hear the effect building up slowly, i have noticed that other guitarplayers do this as well. you can see the guitarplayer messing around at 4:27 with it if you care.

what pedal does he use for that tone??

Pretty sure it's delay. He turned the repeats up and slowly made the delay times faster until it shrills like that.

looks that way to me. OP not all delays will work like that so don't be discouraged if you try one and don't get that sound. if you find out what fx the guitar player uses that may help. OH and i HATE you for making me listen to that song i really despise it

lol, sorry, but i'll try to figure out! the thing is i have seen other guitarist that have used this effect that's why! yeah sure, sounds like synth but don't think it is.
