Hi, I'm currently mastering a couple of my bands tracks,
and like every cliche' post-hardcore band, I want to put some P-H-A-T bass drops in a couple of our breakdowns.
I want something that sounds like this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dDF7Ah1X4l8 (Skip to about 1.30 and be amazed.)
If anybody has a .wav or midi file similar to it, or could help me out in producing one it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

that's a whammy bar, not midi. this is pretty much no different from any other song with a breakdown.

if you don't have whammy bar, i think digitech makes a whammy pedal that could do the same thing.

Bass drops in metal are 9/10 times an 808 kick or a sin wave pitching down.
Let's party.

Instead of using those in the rar file, make your own sine waves and pitch them to the key of the song. That way you can get it to sound in key and you can compress + fade them yourself so you can get exactly what you want.
