I have a 2001 gibson es 135, but have always wanted a gretsch guitar with a bigsby tailpiece. I was thinking to get the gretsch g5120. My question is, which guitar is better? The gibson es 135 or the gretsch g5120? I don't want to trade my instrument in for something that is inferior!

Ps. I'm a classical guitarist & don't have much experience with electrics!

i prefer the gibson, although i don't know how the cost differences are. you should be able to get a bigsby for the es135. i think there is a company that you can install a bigsby with no drilling. i would look into that.

Thanks! I was scared to put a bigsby on the gibson because I thought it might ruin it. I'll look into that option.
