Right now I have a 20W Vox Valvetronix and an Ibanez SZ520. It's time to upgrade, and I need a guitar, delay pedal, and amp. The things I have in mind are a PRS SE Semi-hollow, a Vox Night Train cab & a Line-6 DL4. But I cannot get them all at once, so would it make sense to get the amp and effect or the guitar first? Would a great amp and a decent guitar or a decent amp and great guitar be a better sound combo? Thanks

amp first always

This.

You have a good guitar, spend some money on a better amp. Worry about other guitars and pedals later.

This is terrible advice. Even worse than the useless dry, sarcastic comment I made.

You might find that a great amp will breathe some new life into your SZ520 and you might not need a new guitar so soon...
