I got this out of my grandma's closet about 4 years ago, it was my grandpa's. I've never been able to find any info on it and noones else seems to know anything. It says Planet on the headstock and that's it.

Possibly hand-crafted.
If you can't find any brand with the name "Planet" on google or anything.... then I can't help you identifying it.
It doesn't really matter though I guess?
A guitar is a guitar, and knowing what model it is wont make a huge diffference, would it?

Old Teisco re-brand. Was your grandpa the one that put on the Wylde sticker?

Na the clear coat was peeling there so I just stuck it on as a quick fix.

@JB
Ya it's got a real nice tone and is nice to play. I just got curious about it for some reason.

i feel like that sticker makes the guitar sound worse.

Teisco re-brand (as previously stated). They are really nice guitars, they have a cool surf sound to them.

Every guitar and bass forum I've visited has some people chasing some magical tone that will shoot jizzing unicorns riding on a rainbow out of their amp.
