Hey guys,
I decided to get two DiMarzio Xn2s for both neck and bridge
but im not sure If i should place them in my epiphone sg or my Les paul copy.
The les paul is made of mahogany with a ebony neck and a TOM bridge
The epiphone sg is made of PLywood?
Dont really care about looks here, Do you think i should get two EMG 81? I have limited choice for pickups. I can get most seymour duncans, EMG 81 and dimarzio xn2
cheers

What type of Epi SG?

Piano dick had some good parts, but should have said "As the business man slowly gets boned", would have accented the whole dick feeling of the album

Why would you get an X2n for the neck position, that'll sound awful. Go for an EMG 81/85 set. Then 18v mod. Put it in the LP.

Ibanez RG3120 Prestige (Dimarzio Titans)

You CAN play anything with anything....but some guitars sound right for some things, and not for others. Single coils sound retarded for metal, though those who are apeshit about harpsichord probably beg to differ.

Uhg. X2Ns are garbage. Even Dimarzio used to say that on their website until they realized that people would actually buy them.

EMGs in the LP. Or Blackouts.

I can only get emg 81, X2N and most seymours,
What do you guys say about seymour blackouts?

Yea I know, I m gonna be going to Korea soon,
I checked a site and the pickups are like 30 bucks cheaper each.
So what do you suggest for both neck and brdige on a mahog les paul copy
for a metal tone thats not TOO muddy?
I dont think i can mix uppassvies and actives

Go for D-Activators. Passives, but they kinda sound like actives.
