Hi,

A mate of mine is looking for a cheap, secondhand guitar. He said he'd spend about £100 but maybe look at something up to £150. Any ideas? Links to specific examples on Ebay (UK) would help but failing that, just tell me good ideas to look for.

Many thanks.

Broadly speaking I'd say Rock and Punk. I thought about an Epiphone G400, ESP MH100, Ibanez ART, some sort of Jackson or Yamaha Pacifica.

Not the ARTS. The arts have horrible fretwork ive tried 4 straight from the factory and each one was worse than the dozen first acts I have played. Unless he could suddenly afford one of the higher end arts its not worth it. The GAX's are suprisingly good though. The ESP MH100 would be best in my opinion.

Eventually managed to get a new Cort X-11 for £200. It's an older spec one but that's fair enough as it's pretty much half the full retail price.
