I need a good and cheap microphone (under $100) for recording my guitar. I know some mics don't record distortion that well, but I need a mic that does.

This is kind of the industry standard for putting a mic up to your speaker cone and letting it rip, and with good reason. Good clarity, and really does capture the punch, as long as you have the foggiest as to what you're doing with the mixing/mastering.
