I need a good and cheap microphone (under $100) for recording my guitar. I know some mics don't record distortion that well, but I need a mic that does.
This is kind of the industry standard for putting a mic up to your speaker cone and letting it rip, and with good reason. Good clarity, and really does capture the punch, as long as you have the foggiest as to what you're doing with the mixing/mastering.

Oh sorry, I forgot to mention that it has to be a USB mic.
yes you can never go wrong with this one. 2 of em is even better.
i don't know about usb mic's.. never used them. if you can save some money or get a job i really recommend getting an interface.
