As it is not viable for me to buy something like them from a US site, I feel the need to say something negative about them I'd take a pair of NT-5s or AKG C-414's over them any day

Sure, so would I. But at $330-$2100 less, they're a very good option for the price for those of us in the US


On a side note. I've compiled a list of stuff I'm going to sell on eBay in order to buy an AT4060, a pair of Beyer MC930s and a Les Paul Traditional/Classic. The numbers look pretty good if I sell stuff for what I want

Sadly not an option as I'm in the UK. I've used some pencil mics before, but not as overheads. We used them on the hi-hat as it's really easy to thread them through being so thin.
