Candy apple red would rule. And as for fave finish on a p-bass - sky blue like the finish on the steve harris p bass

I like translucent finishes you can see the grain through personally. So I'd probably go for translucent red.

Bassists don't hover on the forum day and night like guitarists. We've got lives to lead, music to play and whiskey to drink.

I'd rather go at my hands with a hacksaw than play lead guitar, and I'm only slightly exaggerating.

There are clearly only 4 options

1 Burgundy mist
2 seafoam green
3 butterscotch blonde
4 get the **** off my forum

Shoreline Gold and Ebony Transparent are my favorites.

EDIT:Add a gold anodized pickguard and you're set.
Damn it! Disable can't use disable to disable Disable's disable because disable's disable has already been disabled by Disable's disable!

Silverburst is my favourite for Fender style basses.

Those look amazing. I love silverbursts. With a black pickguard. Ultrasex.

I wouldn't call what we have here on the Bass Forum a mentality. It's more like the sharing part of an AA meeting.

Black on black.

There are no alternatives.

I really wanna go for candy apple red. but on reasearch its a bit more expensive than i can afford (4-5 tins of lacq as opposed to 2-3)

I like the idea of a high mirror finish gloss black. with a Bwb or White Pearl guard. Matching headstock and a custom decal, with vintage style bridge. new Pup. the bass really needs a refret. but that will have to wait a whiles.

other considerations still..
charcoal frost
some form of red
high gloss black.

black on black is good, so is red, but I'd totally just clear or amber up that bass and have a natural P bass.
