So i just bought a 1990 profession std kelly and I set it up for the first time in 10 years. I hooked it up and played it ,but it just seemed off. The sound seems really soft and you can't really hear the middle strings compared to previous guitars I've played. What do you think the issue might be? Could it be the pick ups? They're some seymore duncan jackson stock ones. Here's a link to some "playing" http://vocaroo.com/?media=v0mPNT47B2KZl6Bpe I know it's not the best playing but try paying attention to the sound. It might just be me though.

Intonation is definitely off. Take it to a guitar tech to get it re-set up.

yup. Sounds like it's going sharp whenever he frets a note/chord.

This is terrible advice. Even worse than the useless dry, sarcastic comment I made.

I'm too old for the Jim Morrison look now. When I was gigging I had a fine arse.
