Hello to all UG fanatics,

I've really been busy with lots of school stuff, so let's get to the point.

I understand that there are people who like different genres in music, different artists, and so on.
My question is, based on your favorite music you've heard so far, which artists (realistic; not fake, please. You can use members in your former bands as well. Even deceased members are valid.) would be in your dream band?
Myself, my dream band would include:
M. Shadows as Vocalist (from Avenged Sevenfold)
Steve Vai as Lead Guitar 1
Matthew Bellamy as Lead Guitar 2 (from Muse)
Hitsugi as Backing Guitar (from Nightmare)
Mike Dirnt as Bassist (from Green Day)
and John Dolmayan as Drummist (from System of a Down)

Let your imaginations take over from now on, then!

Regards,
WSONG

I'd probably have to say Chris Broderick (megadeth, nevermore, jag panzer) and Tosin Abasi (animals as leaders) for guitars, Evan Brewer as bassist (the faceless), Thomas Haake (meshuggah) as drummer and Shagrath (dimmu borgir) for vocals.
GEAR:
Jackson JS30KE
ESP EC 401FM
Ibanez RG 321MH

Brice HXB 405GL2TS
ESP B154DX
Ampeg BA-108

TC Electronics Polytune

I think that Steve Harris, Mike Portnoy, and Dave Grohl would be a pretty groovy band. Too bad Dio is dead since he would def be the singer!
#6
Mike Jollet as vocalist (Airborne Toxic Event)
Jimmy Page as lead guitar 1
John Fruisciante as lead guitar 2
Lincoln Parish as rhythm guitar (Cage the Elephant)
Anna Bullbrook as viola/keyboard (Airborne Toxic Event)
Chad Smith as drummer

This is terrible advice. Even worse than the useless dry, sarcastic comment I made.

This would be my ideal lineup.

Vocals - Fernando Ribeiro (Moonspell) and Johan Edlund (Tiamat)

Drums - Mike Gaspar (Moonspell)

Bass - Jeff Matz (High on Fire)

Keyboard - Kevin Moore (Dream Theater, Chroma Key, O.S.I.)

Rhythm Guitar - Matt Pike (Sleep, High on Fire), Rusty Cooley (Outworld, Day of Reckoning)

Lead Guitar - Rusty Cooley (Outworld, Day of Reckoning), Chris DeGarmo (Queensrÿche)

Now I just have to wonder what this band would sound like.

Have you ever thought about how potnetially horrible this could go? WHat if you got your dream lineup, and they just sounded like a cat getting raped in the anus?
My sig? Nice.

No.

Well, technically it could be done, but only in the same way that you could change a cat into a hamburger. It's an unpleasant process, and nobody is happy with the result.

The most perfect band already existed, and it's a three way tie between Converge, The Blood Brothers, and Orchid.

Well, this threat is something that I sometimes think.

Vocals: Corey Taylor and Mike Patton
Guitars: Ricardo Amorim and Synyster Gates or Buckethead and John Frusciante (one of this pairs would really cool)
Bass: Flea or Trujillo (only because of Suicidal Tendencies works, I like Metallica but in ST he's way better)
Drums: Mike Gaspar or Dave Grohl

They can trade like Avantasia

Freebo? Nice call. I'm a fan of Bonnie Raitt's old stuff so I know the name well. Hell, the guy played a fretless Fender bass...

For real though, there's a "Dream Band" thread that's supposed to culminate and perpetuate threads like this one. It will be posted just a few spaces above this one.
