There’s a reason they stopped making them that way in the 1960s. You should just send it to me, I’ll use it to decorate a wall or something.

Well you don't deserve that guitar. It's dead obvious at the other end of the neck.

Take the neck off. Then at the end of the neck is where you can adjust the truss rod. Sort of like the Wolfgangs.

I'm a little confused, looking at Music Mans website for what I believe is the correct model it states.

Truss Rod:
Adjustable - no component or string removal

i know

but how would you be able to get a feel for the relief if its not on the guitar?

There should be a small slot between the neck pickup and the neck for an allen key.
#23
That's a better picture than I could find. Figured it was just slotted at the body end of the neck.

Lol. If insomniac's were called something less cool like "cock lords" or something I bet there would be significantly less people claiming to be it.

And no, you don't have to take off the neck. In fact, you don't even need an allen key. Just stick something in the little wheel between the neck pickup and the end of the fretboard.

thats a left handed one though?

Alternatively, you could just send me the guitar, along with $5,000 in cash, and I will gladly adjust the truss rod for you.

I don't think so.

Why do you think you need to adjust it? Seriously.

It seems half the players on this forum feel the need to adjust the truss rod. I don't get it. In the 40 years that I've been playing I have never once needed to make a truss rod adjustment on any guitar I've ever owned, played or stolen.

Its somehow the most advanced guitar tech adjustment.
Only luthiers adjust truss rods so if you do it you must be awesome?

Has tom ever started a thread thats not trolling?

But seriously, is there really a need to go through this pain to find a truss rod? Just leave it the way it is and practice!

Have a nice day.

Trust me, I've owned plenty of crap in my day.

Why the need to adjust it? It's not going to help you with your Vai riffs.
