Since I'm getting a new laptop, I'm wondering how well Amplitube 3 (my favorite amp simulation software) would run on the following specs...

Name: Toshiba Satellite
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo
Video Card: AMD Radeon HD

Tbh, I don't normally read spec sheets, but these are the ones that caught my eye and I'm hoping they'll help with your answers. >.>

I run AT3 on an Acer Dual-Core laptop - 2 ghz Intel chipset with 4 gigs of RAM (although it ran for months on the stock 2 gigs fine) - a cheap "on Sale" laptop I paid $300 for at Best Buy last Xmas.
Now running an Eleven Rack with Pro Tools 10.3.3 - it's amazing and I'm having ball with it - worth every penny. PT 10 is tops IMO and the Eleven Rack is a work of art!

Does a video card even matter? I also have an intel core 2 duo and it runs fine. Granted i have an soundcard with build in memory so i guess its not fair.

Video card is strictly for gaming in most cases - don't even worry about it.
