I quite enjoyed that. It was a joyful little piece, even if that wasn't your intentions. I thought the melody was solid throughout. The only thing that bugs me, which isn't really specific to your song but rather the genre, is the familiarity of the song to other tech death songs I've heard. It seems like when you've spent a few years listening to the genre, the only difference between songs is the production value.

Saying that this is average is quite a bad term to use, because well, it is 'average' for the genre in the sense that it's 'familiar'. However, I think that the best way to describe my position towards the song is with a numerical rating, if you catch my drift.

4/5. Only subtracted points due to it not being the full thing (damn you for making me want more!) but more so just because of what I said earlier.

Don't take an 4 lightly, though. I use the Sputnik rating system, so 4 out of 5 is excellent.

I dig, it's pretty sweet. I love how you're throwing the rhythms around, it really keeps things interesting; I think that it might sound cool if you tighten up the riff you were playing at the end, and maybe sped things up a little bit.
