Hey all! I've been starting to look for a new amp (really cheap) because my Vox VT30 is not loud enough anymore for my band.

For approx. 300$, what would you all suggest? Listen to the 3rd song 'The sovereign's plea' for an idea of the typical sound of the band: http://www.reverbnation.com/artist/artist_songs/1336667#

Alternatively, I have found a Crate GT65 locally for 175$, which is cheap but I don't know if it will be loud enough or if the sound will fit with the band's sound.

If massive headroom isn't required, Jet City JCA20h. For a bit more cash, JCA22h, which has a high-gain channel and FX loop.

For 300 you're pretty limited. Jet city is pretty good bang for buck though.
If you have a cab,

+1 the JCA20h can be had for ~$200 used.
