I've seen this thread posted on a few other forums so decided to start one here too!

Pretty self-explanatory.

Try to keep it bass-related

I'll kickstart it off:

What I want for Christmas is..

A modest stack, preferably acoustic or acoustic.
A nice variety of different strings to experiment with,
and a sound-proofed room where I can play as loud as I want!

So, what do YOU want for Christmas this year?

Amplification: Peavy 6505+ Head and Mesa/Boogie Cabinets.

Guitars + Basses: Ibanez JEM7V, BC Rich Bich Perfect 10, BC Rich Zoltan Bathory Signiture Assasin, Fender Telecaster Custom to my spec, Gibson Les Paul custom to my spec, Jackson Rhoads, Charvel DS-1 ST.

all with molded hard cases.

A set of EMG Pickups (85 bridge, 81 neck) for my current BC Rich Mockingbird Special X

n.b. I got my BC Rich Mockingbird Special X for christmas this year, it was given to me early because my family bought it for me and they took me to the shop to buy it.

All my projects to be finished. Then sell, and buy some decent recording gear for my dorm.

But really I want a Peavey Classic 120 Poweramp and Peavey Rockmaster preamp a really nice 2x10 and a natural G&L l2000.

I have too much gear for my small living space. I want some talent for Christmas.

you made me

I'd like a MIA Jazz (my current wannahave bass)
And an SS head 350Watts, more or less, and a 2X12 cab to go with it.

However i expect nothing form these to appear.

And i'd like to be able to fully set up my basses for myself without totally screwing up my necks

When you break a bass string, that snapping sound is the sound of six dollars going down the crapper.

I was wondering when a Christmas GAS thread would pop up.

There's always my bass "holy grail:"

I could also go for:
Steinberger L2/XP2
Dingwall ABZ
Modulus Quantum, VJ, or FU
Yamaha TRB1006
KitchenAid Stand Mixer

What I'll probably get for Christmas: socks and a bottle of wine
Composite Aficionado

If only

I didn't link, 'cause I didn't know if it would be against the rules or whatever, but there's a Squier Vm '77 on talk bass for $225.00 used with a gigbag.

Just saying, you might be able to score a deal if you have the cash.

Edit: Also, for Christmas, I would love to find a nice deal on a used MIJ Fender P bass, rosewood/Alder 3 tone sunburst, and for my amp to finally come back from the shop, its been four months without it, eh.

And to get back on track, I'd wouldn't mind a looper as well as PBass.
