Hi im generally a beginner guitarist and i was looking to invest in a 250-300 ish guitar (take or give a few) from http://themusicshopwesternsuburbs.com.au/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=2_16&zenid=86b42f07f097a52303618d3dbfa1e419
Ofcourse the prices are in AUD and most of the guitars from the under $300 thread are overpriced here in Australia. Also i dont know what guitars are good and whatnot so please any help is appreciated.
I was looking at the
Ibanez V72ECE http://themusicshopwesternsuburbs.com.au/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=393
and
Ibanez AEG8E http://themusicshopwesternsuburbs.com.au/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2_16&products_id=525
Are they the best deals from the site?

You have to be really careful there because Ibanez at that price range (and indeed even much more expensive ones) tend to not have any solid wood!

From that particular site I'd take a look at this one: http://themusicshopwesternsuburbs.com.au/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2_16&products_id=13

To be honest I've never heard anything about Ashton guitars but at least it has a solid top so it might be worth some looking into.

I'd try looking at other stores too. A solid stop Yamaha or Takamine seems to be over your price range but what about this, for example? http://www.turramusic.com.au/pages/CatalogueItem.aspx?CIID=3375

Either way; unless you really really like how they sound, I'd try to steer away from Ibanez. Just my two cents from what I learned during a few months of asking and looking around prior to buying my first (real) guitar.
