I recently purchased a PS-5 Super Shifter (and an adapter to go with it) and love it - really fun pedal, but it has this irritating tendency to not work. It'll work for a bit, and then it either won't turn on, or it won't turn off and it'll be stuck on whatever setting it's on. My amp (a Fender Super Champ XD) doesn't have an effects loop (probably not relevant but I have it going into the amp after distortion) and I've noticed it tends to stop working after I turn on the amp's effects. I'm not sure if it's a problem with the pedal, the adapter, or the user - I could exchange it but I brought it back to the store yesterday and it worked just fine then.

Does anyone have any idea what's causing this or what I should do? Thank you!
take everything I say with a shaker of salt, I'm probably wrong
if the external pedal strait up cuts out then my guess is a jack is faulty or a maybe a solder joint. You can trace it out if you find someone to do that. In other words it is probably salvageable. Not a pedal dude tho
