On my current maple top strat build my heastock is currently 17-19mm thick depending on where you measure. Will this be too thick for the tuners?

I plan on using the locking ones here: (the MH315)

I don't really mind if the tuners are pretty low on the headstock, I actually prefer it that way. I just want to make sure they will install OK.

Quite probably. I tend to make my headstocks around 14mm thick. Usually does the trick.
