I just got a new Oscar Schmidt 12 string (not making a NGD, camera's broken). Anyway, I don't really know of any good songs to play on a 12 string, and I'd like to expand my musical abilities. So recommend me some intermediate level songs to work on. I like rock, classic rock, blues, some pop and maybe even a little country (as long as it's not too redneck-y, haha).

Wanted Dead Or Alive by Bon Jovi sounds excellent on a 12 string.

Hotel California is another good one to strum along to.

EDIT: Here's a link to a rough version of the Bon Jovi one I did a couple of years ago:

A lot of Led Zeppelin songs are nice to play.

Tangerine for example or Rain Song..

Other than LZ there's not much I think.

Isn't 12-string the same as a 6-string except sounds a bit more.. full?

If it is, then just play any songs you'd normally play on a 6-string

In this moment Extreme's Hole Hearted is the first thing that comes to my mind.

Then you should check some Zeppelin's stuff, especially live

Damm'd near any folk or bluegrass tune ! Capo it up and play it like a mandolin Lotsa Byrds, Beatles, Led Zep, Petty and others can go acoustic. Eagles used 12's a lot. The more strings, the merrier LOL

I also just got a 12 string guitar. Working on a variety of material for it, but some obvious ones are:
Hotel California - Eagles
Wish You Were Here - Pink Floyd
Little Martha - Allman Brothers
Lots of stuff by Leo Kottke and John Butler can be found on YouTube. Check out John Butler playing Ocean
