I'm looking to buy a Japanese Strat that I found, though I can't figure out what it is exactly.

-Maple fretboard
-Big headstock with black Fender logo, has "Stratocaster" in the curved script
-Bullet truss rod, no plug around the bullet nut
-Gotoh tuners
-Serial's on the heel of the neck (E8 series), with "Made in Japan" above it
-3 bolt neckplate with microtilt adjustment, big Fender "F" on it.
-11 hole H-S-S pickguard, probably not original
-The two single coils have staggered pole pieces

It's pretty beat up and someone scratched off every mention of "Japan" on the guitar, including the tremolo block. Is this one of the Reissue models, that weren't literally reissues?

EDIT: Here's the headstock

If I had the guitar in person I would, the owner doesn't want to take the guitar part so I can't get pictures of it either. Also that site's interesting, I haven't seen that before

I really wish it was a small headstock non-basswood model, but I'm GASing for a strat real bad and the MIJ ones are supposed to be great quality. It's beat to hell and back so I'm hoping I can score it for under $150 haha
