Hey guys..

I recently bought an MXR M101 phase 90 pedal from ebay, opened it on christmas, plugged it in to a 9volt plug and it didn't work. I then changed the battery and I still can't get the LED to turn on or make any effects via my amp.

Just wondered if there's anything else I could try? A different adapter perhaps as it says in the booklet that it runs on a dunlop ECB003 AC adapter or a 9 volt battery? Do i specifically need the adapter? if so why wouldn't it work with a battery?

Or is it just ****ed and should i send it back?

ANy help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Plugging a jack into the input is what switches them on. That's why if you use batteries you have to unplug all the patch cables when not in use.

Just because one has tone suck it doesn't mean one's tone sucks.

MXR wires all of their pedals this way, although they just need the guitar plugged in to turn on.
