I found this on Reddit of all places. No details at this point, just pictures that I stumbled across, and Google didn't render any results either. Happy GASsing.

Apparently these are going to be a very limited run.

If they sound anything like the originals, that would be pretty sweet for bedroom amps.

But yeah, seems really low key for their 50th anniversary.

The best part is the video on their web page says "50 YEARS OF LOUD"

Which makes me giggle when I see these "toy" amps

celebrating 50 years of loud...

with five 1 watt amps.

This is what Marshall should be making when it comes to bedroom amps. Not the god forsaken MG! They will probably be buzzy as hell tone wise.

A one watt Bluesbreaker? Yes please.

Okay, yes, but it's Marshall! This should be celebrated by a three channel amp (each channel representing a classic Marshall tone, JTM45, 1959SLP and JCM800) with twenty EL34s in the power section!

But that doesn't really sound like something Marshall would do. But it would be expensive.
With Marshall more recently making more lower wattage tube amps I think this makes sense. But still a JCM800 That looks like an MG. Could be interesting.

A "tubescreamer" is a person paid by a guitarist to stand behind the amp and scream at the tubes. This terrifies the tubes into overdriving and delivers a thick, harmonic-rich tone.
#13
The biggest thing I want to know if these are real is how they've gotten classic tones at only 1 watt. I would assume it would be pretty hard to get 100w EL84 tube breakup at 1w unless you are doing some interesting amp design like the Baron Snot Watt or you are amp modeling .

I want to see some back shots. I feel like these are just MG's

They're so cute! What a waste of such a big anniversary opportunity. I get the feeling that they're just slightly modified MGs.

EDIT: Nevermind, apparently they're a very limited run. Who knows wth they're doing.

They already have this - Aside from the 20 EL34s.

It's called the 6100.

I'm having a lot of trouble believing that these will be good.

Also, I'm sick of all the little baby amps popping up everywhere.

Imagine how much a 2x12 combo version would weigh.

I don't think paying £600 for a 1 watt amp that won't sound like what it's meant to is a good idea for the 50th anniversary...

I don't even particularly like Marshalls and I still want a Silver Jubilee...that's how you know you've done an anniversary right, not like this.

Hey, the Class 5 was alright.

Marshall tends to do little tube amps pretty well (Class 5, 1974X, Studio 15, Haze 15, etc.) so I'd be a little less critical.

And if they're limited edition, then they're more of a collector's thing than a legit working amp anyway.

I'd have settled for handwired JTM-45s, not that they haven't already released them or that I would buy one, but at least it would make more sense.

Oh well, I'd probably get the JTM and JMP ones if I had the money.

Hope they make something big too.

Those small amps are cute and fun for sure, but celebrating 50 years of LOUD if 1W amps is quite a joke.

i'd laugh if these amps where hybrids like blackstar

I guess these things would be good collectors items as long as they don't make many of them, like a model of the Eiffel tower for its centenary. A cute curiosity to mark a significant event rather than something you'd buy to actually use.
I think I'd like the little JTM just for shits and giggles but I still say they should have made a gold plated Major.

Seetwater is taking preorders for the 1 watt jtm45. $749 for the head. Thats just crazy. 1 watt jcm 800 would be awesome for bedroom jamming. But theres no way im forkin out that kinda dough for a 1 watter... ill spend more and get a mini rec or 5150III 50w.
