Hey folks, here in my frozen lands of awesomeness also known under the not so awesome name Canada, REAL maple syrup is almost a national treasure.

I've often heard that outside Canada, not many people have had the chance to actually taste this gooey yummylicious syrup and I was wondering how accurate that beleif is.

So pit, did you ever have REAL natural maple syrup.

Do you care? You should, you pathetic excuse for a human.

There is no greater crime than eating a pancake or waffle with something other than pure Canadian maple syrup. It is something that every man, woman, and child must experience to live a fulfilled life.

Real maple syrup is the only kind i ever ingest. Aunt Jemima's synthetic corn maple syrup is gross.

No such answer would be warranted if you actually had it. Methinks you we're hoodwinked.

Alright, alright. Whatever. Here's what I'll do. I'm an evolutionary biology major. When I graduate I'll give her all my text books for your birthday. And I won't even get her pregnant.

I have had it. Way better than the corn syrup most Americans use. The problem is that maple syrup is too expensive. You have to be rich to buy it consistently.

I would participate too, but my curling team is suposed to play in an hour, I need to warm up.

Had it several times. My uncle's girlfriend comes over from Canada every year and brings some.
It's nice, but nothing I'd spend that much more on. I prefer this tbh

Cost me like 12 bucks for a bottle like your pic.

But damn, was it good. No aftertaste, and I didn't seem to use near as much.
#27
Yup. My girlfriend's uncle makes it in upstate New York.

I've had it, and I live in *SURPRISE* Canada. xD It's okay, but not that huge of a difference IMO. Now, store-bought pie and home-made stuff, *THAT'S* a noticeable difference.

I might also add that just about the only thing I like about being Canadian are Rush, April Wine and Sacrifice. You Americans really hate on yourselves too much; yeah, we've got free healthcare, but that doesn't mean anything, there's still idiots everywhere. xD

I'm from Minnesota and I accept nothing except real maple syrup. I do not like the imitation convenience store syrup. Making maple syrup and maple sugar is a big tradition for the Native Americans, and both are very available in my region. You can find it in a lot of places in Minnesota.

Apart from our syrup, nature and economy, Canada doesn't have a lot of bragging rights..

If I had to choose between REAL maple syrup and Aunt Jemina's synthetic corn syrup I would choose the real maple syrup because it's real maple syrup and not synthetic like Aunt Jemina's synthetic corn syrup is synthetic. Syrup.
