Basically, I wanna know what you more experienced musicians think. What do i need to record a decent-quality track? As far as music and computer equipment. Thanks.

One track? Or a "track" as in a "song" consisting of many tracks?

What do you mean by "decent?" (demo quality, radio/release quality)?

What do you intend to record (full band with live drums, synth pop, solo acoustic, etc)?

What is your budget?

What do you have now?

What is your purpose for recording? (evaluating rehearsals, selling manufactured CD's in stores?)

Does it need to be portable?

Without answers to those questions, we could give you a range from $100 to $100 000 and they'd all be right.

Could I get some more talent in the monitors, please?

I know it sounds crazy, but try to learn to inhale your voice. www.thebelcantotechnique.com
