Just got an MXR M78, sounds great on my little solid state amp.

Tried it on my Gemini I tube amp, absolutely NO difference.

It might be my settings, I dunno, but I noticed playing it clean, there was this little crackly noise under the guitar noise, which I read somewhere that it's a sign of your tubes failing.

I'll try moving around different settings to see if that was the problem, and I'll post back/edit this with what I found.

Any help would be appreciated, no trolls allowed, this is a serious problem.

Sounds like the tubes might be going bad.

This is terrible advice. Even worse than the useless dry, sarcastic comment I made.

That's exactly what I thought.

Tried getting help in another thread, but people started going off topic.

Sounds like it could be tubes making mischief here. I would start there. Swap the preamp tubes out individually with another new one to see if that isolates the problem. If not then I would start looking at the power tubes next.
