Sorry if this is the wrong forum, but I'm trying to figure out what these chords are when i play the following shapes with capo on 5th fret:

Am

C

G

D

I don't know music theory (yes I should learn) and need to play Chris Knight's "North Dakota" at a Sat. Night jam, and be able to tell folks what the chords are with NO capo ("What? Another friggen' song with a capo?)

Tabs online say Em,G, D, Am with capo 1, but his YouTube video shows capo 5 playing a variation of the shapes above.

Very cool video tune worth checking out if you have never viewed.

Thanks,

BB

These shapes are correct with capo on the fifth fret, with the exception of the Am which should be an A.

EDIT: I read your post wrong, let me rethink

Alright, Am with capo on fifth is Dm
C is F
G is C
D is G

Your guess is correct
