Which scales would help me learn solos quicker, the type of music im playing is 80s rock like def leppard and scorpions

Just learn the major and minor scales in different positions. Most solos don't go more advanced than that musically. You may want to learn like a harmonic minor or something, but generally just the different positions of the major and minor scales should do just fine.

If you learn the minor scale then you've already learned the minor pentatonic by default
