I think they're a really cool concept and I'm trying to understand them more fluently.

What are some examples of songs with polyrhythms, no matter the count?
(2 against 3, 4 against 3, 7 against 2, whatever)

Bah polyrhytms.

I'll take 4/4 any day. Or if it is a particularly good day, I might even go as far as 6/8.

It's a terrible place. Tell him not to expect much.

Are there any non-djent bands that utilize polyrhythms?

I don't understand polyrhythms. How can you tell when it is being used in a song?

There is another rhythm going over the main rhythm.

For example I mentioned RHCP - The Adventures of Raindance Maggie - it's 4/4 and the drums are played quite straight in the verse (kick on 1 and 3, snare on 2 and 4) but over the top of this are offbeat cowbell hits. This is just an example, I'm sure somebody here will have another one.

Here's a visual representation of what I mean.

Bold letters indicate where the rhythm is being played.

Drums: 1e&a 2e&a 3e&a 4e&a

Cowbell: 1e&a 2e&a 3e&a 4e&a

So its 4 drum hits and 5 cowbell hits. Play the cowbell part over the drums and now you have a polyrhythm. Hope this is clear man, let me know. Listen to the song and try clapping to the cowbell hits and you'll get a feel for it.

basically any djent band out there uses polyrythms.

tesseract, periphery, animals as leaders and uneven structure are some of my favorites.
