What's your favorite/most effective way to rid/take your anger out on something/calm down?

I don't know how to get rid of mine right now. I can't vent to anybody, I can't take it out on anything either. I want to destroy something so bad, and I keep coming close to breaking something but that's against my better judgement which is currently restraining me. I hate feeling this angry and frustrated and don't know what to do.

Listen to music, occasionally I just like to write out what's bothering me, just to get it out there and see it on paper. Helps me relieve whatever stress I have.

Play some Lamb of God/Dream Theater songs. Or just any other fast music, but I mainly stick to these two when I'm pissed off.

Well, if I'm in public, I generally just facepalm/wipe my face in my hands and try to keep my cool. At home alone, I either scream, hit my pillow/mattress or drum real heavy stuff really loud. I sorta have issues. xD

Hop on my bike and have an aggresive ride down the country lanes. You can't really think about anything else then because you HAVE to concentrate.
There's a good chance that what I've written above is useless and if you take any of the advice it's your own fault.

I usually stop thinking about it and it goes away.

Lately I've taken a liking to actually punching stuff that can't break, such as metal or the wall.

Sometimes if I'm angry alone I flail wildly.......

But seriously.

I may listen to some music (Metal or a Metal ballad.....maybe something softer), play aggressive riffs on my guitar or a pretty melody, whichever if feel like doing.

As for the people who suggested writing it down, I think that is a really good idea, I might try it next time something angers me.

Or you can meditate or take a walk.....or both.

Apparently you shouldn't vent your anger. It just makes you more prone to acting the same way every time you get angry. You should calm yourself down instead. Have a cup of tea and a wank, you'll feel better.

I used to buy light bulbs and glass bottles then break them, also drugs and alcohol seemed to help, just be careful, you don't want to wake up covered in your blood

I have very important anger issues. I actually go to a doctor for this shit.

When ever I get a anger-depression break down I have at least 20 twiches all over the body. The most usual is that I keep twisting my neck to the right and my ring fingers are flexing continuously. I also drink very heavily when it happens. When I am home I usually kick the shit out of my boxing sack (that i bought just for this) and I force me to breath heavily and quickly.

My doctor says I have some very heavy issues. I think I do too, but they are not sufficiente to take me to any specialist he says... The worst thing that can happen when I am angry is that I can make myself get a fever. Seriously.

Think about why it matters and why you let it bother/control you. You'll find that at the end of the day it doesn't matter and you'll be better off not reacting to it.

I have no method unfortunately. I just really want to break something, like a TV with a baseball bat and scream loudly whilst crying my eyes out at all the stress and anger I've had recently, without anyone else judging me for it.
