So guys i need your point of views. I found a Line spider 3 HD150 for sale, in fantastic condition. I was going to ask how does the spider 3 hd150 compare to the spider 4 hd150? I can buy either one. The spider 4 is $400, but i found a brand new SPider 3 hd150 for $250. Whats the best way i could go? I play in a metalcore band. (if that helps any)

I've played both, sound wise, they are both fine. The spider IV does have a little LCD screen though; I find the functionality of the Spider IV better, but the spider 3 is still fine.

I'm guessing you're talking about the mfx pedals right? If you are, either is good. It depends on how much you'd be willing to paul for extra effects.

Save up a little more for a used Peavey 5150. That will be good for metalcore and will sound SO much better.

At this point I'd be more surprised if you found me a Christian children's entertainer that didn't sodomize and eat kids.

Im just trying to figure out if a spider 4 hd150 is better then a spider 3 hd150. Or if there is any major difference in tone quality.

Nope. Both sound horrid.

I've had tube amps for a while now, but never actually had any go down on me

maybe you're not saying the right things? an amp likes to know you care.
