Hi guys,
I wanna scallop a stewmac "paddle headstock" strat neck, Thing is it has an ebony fretboard: couple of issues though. Firstly the ebony has an excellent finish on it as of now and I dont want to screw up the look. Also im assuming the ebony will look very streaky if I do scallop it: is this likely? also do you think Im gonna run into the fretboard side dot markers? Pls offer any advice
It is unlikely the ebony is finished, it may just be sanded to a high grit, so scalloping it and then sanding to a high grit will achieve the same look.

If the ebony is streaky when it is unscalloped it will be streaky when it is scalloped, and so you can stain the ebony uniform black if you wish.
