I'm currently writing an essay and I have to keep pausing to wonder whether or not I should use 'whom' in a sentence.

Does anybody ever actually use this word in everyday language?

I probably would if I knew how to implement it properly, but it's so synonymous with pretentiousness that I'd more likely get punched by whom I was talking to.

Only gay people use the word 'whom'.

I use it. Just don't stress it like you're telling everyone you know how to use that word.

Actually, weird coincidence. I was with my brother today ordering some drinks, and a gay guy thought I was 'with' him.

There's a right way to use it and a wrong way.

I actually use it in day-to-day conversation, but I believe it's appropriate to use "who" in place of "whom" now.

Does that mean you're a fellatioraptor?

Or is this why you're angry?

I'll stop now.
