Been listening to a bit of Toe recently and just kinda wanted to do a fairly simple but easy going song. I haven't spent much time on it yet, nothing's final. I might wanna add more layers, although I'll probably add some subtle synths and glitch effects(imagine Jake Bowen's music) too.

So yeah, nothing too fancy but I wanted to share it so far.

Oh and all the 7's on the 3rd string on the first chord in that chord sequence are supposed to be slide in's, but it just sounds wrong because GP makes the note come in a little too early and the timing sounds funny.

Toe are one of my favourite bands so I was excited to see you say they're an influence. Once again I'm really into what you've wrote, it flows well and the harmonies are great. Interesting to see you kept the simplicity of Toes bass, I enjoyed that, could have risked sounding too busy and ruining the whole feel to it with too much bass.
Yeah found out about them fairly recently and got pretty hooked. I'm slightly tempted to make the bass a bit more fancy towards the end of the piece though just for a bit more variety and to make the ending a bit more special.
Loving the intro, great chords and overall great atmosphere. it builds up nicely to the drums and bass, really digging the drumming. 37 has some really sweet high chord usage, beautiful stuff. Loving the alternate pick lead at 57 sweet, really sweet stuff. Great drumfills at 75 and just a great way to end this piece. Easily a 9/10. The only thing that bugs me is the lenght: it's so sweet, that I just wished it would go on for longer. Also, could you recomend me some post-rock bands that sound like this? This is exactly the kind of stuff I've been looking to listen to this genre for a long time, I just don't know where to begin. Also, your opinion would be much appreciated here: https://www.ultimate-guitar.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1510866

I'm cockblocked regularly by my appearance and personality.
I thought it was really pretty and would love to see it finished. Could turn out to be a real epic piece.
My songs are all located here .
Feel free to drop by and crit a song.
Leave a link and I'll return a crit

Cheers guys. I think I'm gonna try and make a more grand and epic section to come after bar 80.

Ometh, to be honest I don't really know many post-rock bands, but have a listen to
God Is An Astronaut: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZEDhsDoqXns (although most of their other stuff is more quiet)
Toe: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B3Xn2MTFheY (their drummer is amazing)
Jake Bowen: http://soundcloud.com/jake-bowen/relic (one of Periphery's guitarists)

That's all I can think of for now
