You know there is something about white tolex is that is classy, but there is also something about white tolex that screams "dirt magnet"
Quote by barden1069
A "tubescreamer" is a person paid by a guitarist to stand behind the amp and scream at the tubes. This terrifies the tubes into overdriving and delivers a thick, harmonic-rich tone.

That's pretty.

Too bad it's a Class 5 and not a Class 50. Still though, mite b cool.

Yeah, I doubt it. Marshall's got too many tube amps in the same price range cannibalizing each other's sales anyway.

i liked the class 5 when i played it. however for its price tag, there is way better gear to be had for that price.

not that everybody does this, but i built my 1974X (18w) Marshall clone. it sounds simply amazing. top of the line parts all the way through. i built it for less than the class 5 costs. there is NO comparison between them, espically with the post phase inverter master volume.

you could find one somebody else could buy for around the class 5, just look at quality.

White on a gigging amp is a right royal pita - but on a practice amp that's very nice.

There's always somebody selling one over at 18Watt.com too. The 1974X is one of the most commonly cloned amps in existence - for good reason.

Agreed, thats why I dont want to get a matching white 4x12 for my wizard... but at the same time I think it would look amazingly awesome

that is my point. spend maybe $100 or so more and get a 18w built. puts the class 5 to shame. the wattage doesn't really mean much. just saying to give an 18w a chance. i really don't think anybody would be disappointed compared to the class 5.
