It happens to me when I don't warm up, or if I haven't played in a while and go straight to doing scale runs. Also, I think the muscle is what's hurting, not the bone.

it's the muscle yes, i called it the Phalanx for the location. But, will that mean ill always have this pain?

Could easily just be a tendon strain from incorrect technique/too much playing the same thing without rest.
But yes, if it's worrying you..see a doctor.
