#1
This is actually the first time I've properly sat down with the intention of writing a song out completely. Usually I just write a riff, record it and leave it, or write lyrics and leave them, so I'm happy enough that I've managed to do this properly :-)

Anyway here it is, would appreciate any feedback at all, chords down the bottom, sorry it's laid out odd and rushed.

Can you choose what you want
Or is it engrained in thought
Does the sun shine through the day
Or has someone left the light on

A question carved out in stone
It won't help to feel old
Can I see what's coming on
Or will I lay myself out to fold

Chorus

Are we done when stop or
When we miss being young
Can I close my eyes for practice
So I can retreive what's been done

Verse two

Having sneaked to your bed
With faint hope of your lips
Delayed onset resistance
With all the numbers in bliss

This story's old and wasted
It's been used up before
Yet we think we'll put a new twist
On the hate that we addore

If we paint on empty canvas
With complex shades of white
Do we know just what we are
Can we make mistakes right

Chorus

Are we done when stop or
When we miss being young
Can I close my eyes for practice
So I can retreive what's been done

Are we done when stop or
When we miss being young
Can I close my eyes for practice
So I can retreive what's been done

Disastorious now
Just wait for a while
Don't believe in what I want
Cause what I want is your denial

Disastorious now
Just wait for a while
Don't believe in what I want
Cause what I want is your denial
