Two acoustic pieces I came up with this week. Just rough one-take recordings on my iPhone when the inspiration struck, you've gotta love the soundcloud app! There's more on my profile if you liked this. C4C!

UPDATE (copy of post I made below):

Bought some stuff for enhancing my home recording and started out with trying to do a "real" recording of the song previously posted in here called "teeny weeny string zucchini". Lots more stuff going on here than in the purely acoustic one-take version. C4C! I'd especially like som advice on the mixing quality and style. Enjoy!

mahogany vibe definitely had a mysterious sound to me as is probably to be expected, was quite minor/dissonant sounding, and in some sense almost left me in a suspense. I thought the change @ 1:53 was cool, and I really like that part as a whole. I would like to hear it with more around it, and possibly some other breaks in it, not sure exactly what of, but something that surprises you, is different but not REAL different, what I wil have to get back to you on,. lol...sometimes I dunno how to say what I am thinkin and put it into musical language, haha. But the part @ 1:53 was kind of the idea im talkin about. Overall cool playin and enjoyably different from the norm.

With zuchini, I just appreciate almost the adventurousness off the playing, just strikes me as different than a lot of what I hear, has some cool off normal stuff mixed with some not SO off normal, but in a good way. Then some of the transitions just catch me so off guard, like @ 1:30. Really cool, and keep it up...I really can't nit pick a LOT as I am not that great, but I just appreciate people playin, playin well and enjoying playing...wish more people would pick it up for what it is...makin me want another acoustic, tell ya that, LOL!.

Mahogant Vibe - This song immediately reminded me a little of Sebadoh. A good thing. I'm loving how this song seems to effortlessly fit both dissonant and melody into one coherent package. Real good. The transition at about 1:55 was a little sloppy, but this new part is really nice, so I almost forgot about the messy switch. Very nice playing. The transition back was great. Perfect. I really like this groove, if that's the right word for it. I just noticed that this song was 5 minutes long, and it didn't feel like it was boring or repetitive, quite an accomplishment I must say. Great track.

Teeny Wenny String Zucchini - ...what? That name.. Anyway, the song. So far, really nice. Nice chords, playing, all that. I like this part at 1:00 a lot. This song has much more variation than the previous one. It keeps things interesting, but at the same time makes them hard to keep up with. Still, so far, lots of great ideas here. Mmm, that dissonance. So ugly, so good. Good riffs here. And that concludes this song. This song was good, but I think I may have personally preferred the first one. Still, two great songs here.

I liked your guitar ideas. exotic sounding and cool. some of the dissoant notes worked and some didn't. I liked the 1:53 section like the other guy mentioned but It could use a better transitioning into it. overall Mahogany Vibe was a cool song and I enjoyed it.
thanks for commenting on mines!

i like teeny weeny, i like how it sounds with the dissonant notes. couldnt really tell if you were messing up the dissonant part of if that was intentional, hopefully intentional cuz i liked that. plus i didnt really expect the metal-ish riff around 1:00

the other one i like it cuz i can jam to it..... which i kinda did when listening to it.
good stuff m8
