Well it's supposed to be a mini amp, you put the guitar in and the out goes directly to a cab, and it drive quite a couple of cabs hehehe, So i don't REALLY think you can use it as a preamp, but at the same time with the amount of power it has i don't think it would cause much damage if someone goes crazy enough to put it before a head or amp.

Still, i take into consideration that this is supposed to make the same function as a head :S So at the end i wouldn't really use it as a preamp but more as a solid state head.

you CAN use it as a preamp but running it into a poweramp actually functions as more of a fuzz box.

what you COULD do is build a line out adaptation such as http://www.sophtamps.ca/mambo/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=38&Itemid=54

if you ignore the phones bit (R6-8, C3, Phones Jack) and run the line out to a power amp input instead you could run it as a power amp

could knock you up a full schematic if you wanted... what kind of wattage you looking for the power amp?

oh, wait, re-read the post, and you;re just looking for an out...

put the line out section in parallel with C8 in the noisy cricket schematic (http://www.beavisaudio.com/projects/NoisyCricket/Noisy_Cricket_Schematic.gif)
with a break on the out jack socket something like (http://www.smallbearelec.com/Detail.bok?no=88) that disconnects the speaker connection

well its just the schematic on the beavis site, with the balanced out from general guitar gadgets:
http://www.generalguitargadgets.com/pdf/ggg_ruby.pdf?phpMyAdmin=4a28f86a515b7883e7bc35a68d4e7b6d&phpMyAdmin=78482479fd7e7fc3768044a841b3e85a
on the last page there's a extra option for a headphones out (which is basically a balanced out).
You can choose to use either the speaker out or balanced out by use of a spdt switch

One of my friends also plays bass, as well as guitar so for him i made a extra switch to switch bethween bass and guitar amp, the difference is actually just one capacitor, with guitar C2=47nf, with bass C2=1uf. These are also switchable with a spdt switch.
Hope you like it, i might post pics when all is done
