So it's looking like Mayhem Fest is shaping up to be an epic show like in '09 again. If the current rumors are true it should be pretty awesome.. I'll update this as reliable rumors surface and once the official lineup is released

Slayer - The single loudest band I have ever heard in my life, bar none
Anthrax -
Motorhead - Gotta see 'em before Lemmy croaks from some STD found in the Amazon
Slipknot - they're definitely meant to be seen live
Whitechapel - It's ****ing Whitechapel
Five Finger Death Punch
As I Lay Dying
Skeleton Witch
Iwrestledabearonce - The chick is whatever, but they write some awesome riffs

I went in '08 and '09, got ****ed over for '10 and last years lineup was kinda whatever.

If I had control over anything with it I'd try my damnest to get Cavalera Conspiracy, Meshuggah, Six Feet Under, and Chimaira on the bill. If only

I'm seeing whitechapel in march, and I've seen As I Lay Dying and Motorhead before, so for me it wouldn't really justify going. But it's a hell of alot better lineup than last year.

Letters from band members, interviews from RocknMetalNewz, and Blabbermouth. I've been watching this closely for about a month now and it changes every week though, I hope this is a solid indicator for what it really will be though. They're announcing the official lineup on the 25th

Nice. Slayer's gonna be there.

As for the 2011 Mayhem Fest, I went and didn't think it was that bad. I really went to see Megadeth but I gained respect for Godsmack. The put on a damn good live show.
