I'd like to see the insides. It is possible that it's all tube with two 12AX7's and still get a fair bit of gain. One triode for the PI and three for the preamp. Still, I'd want to see the insides.

It's only got one 12AX7 though

EDIT: The 18 has 2 12AX7's and 2 EL84's. Can you Phase Invert with just a single triode? If not I smell an SS PI.

Oh, only one? You can make a phase inverter with a single triode (old Fender Deluxes do that) but that leaves a single triode for the preamp. it aint going to get that crunchy with a one triode preamp.

yeah..but they all suck (excet for maybe this one).

most small amps liek this i find to have real tube tone, but lck seriously on other areas and with thier EQ.

the best small amp ive ever tried was a vox lil night train. this looks like a solid contender.
