I'll be blunt, I've tried google'ing this but it's gotten me nothing so far, and searching here doesn't seem to bring much in help either, so without further embellishment:

Anyone able to post a list of the firsts in American classical writings? Like who wrote the first classical piece in american music history, the first symphony for America, the first fugue, and other such classical firsts?

I'm totally ignorant of american classical history, if it can even be officially called "classical" at all?
