Hi everyone,

Just a demo fo a song I've been working on recently. Not really sure how to define it so the words 'folk/acoustic' are used loosely. Did all the instruments besides guitars inside Logic pro 9. Just looking for some feedback!

Awh yay I love mellow listens. It sounds really good man, everything sounds great together, very well written. I could go for some vocals though, also, it changes a little too spastically, I would of built up some of the parts more with the guitar before the rhythm change and after that it gets a little jumpy until the main part comes back in. And I really like the percussion and the strings they sound great. C4C? https://www.ultimate-guitar.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1512464

The_Wassell, cheers I'm listening to yours now so i'll write it here. Nice chords progression! and nice tone too. Very ambient, have you thought of adding maybe some percussion in places?

Beautiful. Everything. The guitar sounds phenomenal, the strings are excellent. Subtle, but very effective. The percussion is nice. I love the sound of the bass, very warm. Some vocals would be nice, and more of an ending too. Like previously mentioned, the changes are a little abrupt at times, try spacing things out more. This is some great stuff, extending it is not a problem. Really, I love this, great work here C4C? https://www.ultimate-guitar.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1512441

This is really good man, I was very impressed. I'm very picky with folk and acoustic, it's hard for me to find a folk artist I like (and i do look very hard), and yeah this is the kind I like.

im diggin this. i dont listen to much folk, although theres a lot of folk influences in the music i like, but this reminded me of something jimmy page would write, and thats pretty awesome!
are you gonna sing over it? i can hear a lot of different voices working over this, which is perfect.

This sounds great; very pretty, very upbeat. When it stopped though, I was waiting for all the instruments to come back in at once; I'd try it, but then again, that's up to you. I just think it'd be cool to come back in with a bit of power; maybe include some lower strings to give it a full sound.

Yes sir, I dig this! Great change-ups in the song too. You had touches of John Mayer, Don Ross and Erik Mongrain. The strings are a sweet touch. Mix is crisp and clear, my only request would be that it go longer. Thumbs up for this one! Would be keen to hear more. Great work.

I actually thought of Erik Mongrain very early on as well, which is definitely a good thing.

Looking forward to hearing this man, thanks for your comment on my song.

The sound you got out of those guitars was amazing. Sounded like I was right there with you, I guess thats the outcome with studio quailty stuff as opposed to bedroom audacity stuff :p Also, your playing was really nice.

Liked the small amount of percussion and piano thrown in. Then, when the strings come in, it kinda builds to an emotional climax, I liked it a lot. I didn't think the ending was as good as it could have been. Having an unexpected ending works well with a lot of songs, but I would have liked it more if the calming guitar sounds either faded away, or just ended on a nice resolving chord. Great job though! Look forward to any future offerings you put out
